he used to take me out for a sunday,
every saturday, after church.

but now those memories have melted
i just wish he could see
how much i miss
the times we had
the way it used to be.

he taught me how to play
chopsticks
on his grand piano
six years old

i sat down on his knees
my fingers touched those keys

i was born to perform

she was there
